Evil features explaination?

Have any on the evil left offered a rationale for some of the "evil features". For example, I can't for the life of me make any sense of classifying a forward pistol grip on a rifle as evil. It's just another way to hold onto the rifle with one's support hand. More evil than just gripping the hand guard?

It just looks scary! Seriously though, it's all part of the encroachment. If you can ban any part of it, you can eventually ban all of it.

If you have full control of your rifle its illegal cause you might hit your target more often so pistol grip and forward grip are evil.
