Going to build a 450 Bushmaster would love some feedback

I'm selling my 223 and 308 uppers in order to get a 450 Bushmaster upper.

The reason I'm getting it is to consolidate calibers and having the same ft-lbs as a 30-06 in a 6lb AR 15 fascinates me.

I can load 450 Bushmaster for about 6 cents per round (plinking loads) and 30 cents for full bore loads.

I'm wondering what length barrel to get, what some good loads are, and people's overall experience with it.
I don't drink or Smoke. I spend my money on gunpowder and gasoline.

I have a 16" and built a savage bolt action with a 20" barrel. I load win296 and lil gun 240 grain xtp for plinking and 300 grain for the bolt. Check out the 450 bushmaster forum.
It's a great round but there is a reason why they call it the thumper!!!

Both of mine are tack drivers @ 100yds if you can believe it. Best shooting guns I own with factory ammo. Hornaday 250 grain is what the Rifle was designed for. The AR kicks way less than a 30-06 the Bolt action about the same. I have no regrets.
