I had a K1 and a K2. Fantastic guns. Didn't the DR200/300 come with a funky butt stock or something?

Robinson XCR-L or -M. The L model is on sale at Turners.

FWIW, this just came in the mail today. If you are not aware of it, it allows you to use your Garand like a top loading M1A.

Update: Sorry, thumb saver Holbrook Device already mentioned.

Looking at this scout rail (made by Amega Ranges for Fulton Armory) and a scout scope next:

So confusing. The History Channel showed Audie Murphy with a Garand. Then wiki shows an M1A.

I would still suggest a Saiga, they are so over designed, accurate and the ammo is inexpensive.

Another vote for a Saiga. They are built like tanks. Ridiculously reliable. Still affordable despite the Obamaban. 7.62x39 is cheap, plentiful and potent. Plenty accurate, despite what you may have heard. A huge aftermarket, including decent mounting solutions for optics,

Hey I've been harassed a lot worse on this forum!! I thought you were just pulling my chain.

That said lets shoot a garand match at west end one day for a slurpee! You'll need it after being in the heat for a couple hours.
