    Is this the Going Rate

Been pricing Ammunition and came across .223 55gr. Brass case for .35 a round delivered when buying a case.
    Is this a Good Price.
Is Reloading a Better Option ?
I've never reloaded ammo but wondering Now is the time to Learn..

Wolf gold brass cased .233 can still be found for $330ish or a little less. Reloading is always something you can get into. I reload and it's nice know I can make ammo when I don't buy any.

Reloading to me is a better option save money and create the load that works best in your firearm. Looks in deals a=sales forum for .223 cheaper than what you asked about.

That's not bad. Reloading is cool and therapeutic, unfortunately I just don't have the time for it.

I'd try too look for something in the mid 20 cpr range.

32 to 35cpr is the going rate. There was a deal last week at Cabela's where Remington was $345 shipped for 1000 rounds with a $100 rebate, but it sold out. The links above for Wolf Gold are the best around if you want brass case.
The Golden Tiger is great for steel case, just be aware that it can't be used at some ranges.

It seems that retailers are seeing high demand right now following recent legislation and shootings. I wouldn't expect to see many great deals in the immediate future. I think anything under 35cpr is a fair price.

Reloading neck down rifle rounds is a chore if you shoot a lot.

If you are looking to make a couple dozen of match grade ammo for your bolt gun, than it isn't bad.

                      Just avoid steel cased ammo.

Range unfriendly, unreloadable, but at $.23 a round it's pretty good
I direct you to the quote below.

I ended up breaking the extractor on a .40 S&W Sigma after a couple hundred rounds of wolf steel black box. The gun was only 2 years old and only had a couple hundred rounds of brass federal and Winchester through it. Kept it clean too.

Bottom line, don't do it. Also, if I remember correctly Wolf is a pinch under powered (like 100 fps on average) vs other name brands in their .223. Spend the extra $20 on that case and get some American Eagle.

                          just load up your cc's.

stop paying rent for a couple months.
go on a fasting for a couple three weeks.
                          eat at a soup kitchen.
                          sell the car.
                          pimp out the wife.
borrow from friends, family and that fat kid down the block.
buy all the ammo you can.
the online dealers are shipping as fast as they can get it in stock (mostly to ca).
