    Such a great feeling...

Having a dirty firearm, taking the time to clean it, and admiring your oiled up firearm. I just cleaned up two rifles, and it was quite relaxing. Anyone else feel the same way after cleaning a rifle.

It is just part of the hobby to me. I do not clean each time I shoot. Your tune may change when you have 10-15 to do the same day.
I do not mind it. I just do not get all warm and fuzzy about it.

To each his own. Not criticizing you just after 50 years of it the "fun" wears off a bit.

Having the time and energy to clean may wane, but the pride felt holding a properly cleaned and oiled weapon never diminishes.

I couldn't agree more. Cleaning following a good shoot has always been half the fun to me. I love taking the time to disassemble, clean and reassemble everything thing like new again, and then admiring the craftsmanship of the firearm. Call me a nerd.

On the flip side, I have a close family member who avoids shooting just so he doesn't have to clean his guns. To each his own.
