I've been looking for an OPAP, found one but their asking $800.
125 rounds through it.

What do you guys think?

It's hard to say with all the legislation going on. Is the price out of this world? No. But those AK variants aren't necessarily the most sought after. Prices are only going to rise so if you think it's a good deal and you'd be happy with it pick it up but I have feeling if you waited a week or two something might come up.

So a $500 gun for $800 because it's not selling? I would pass just based on that BS.

If you have your heart set on an O-PAP I would buy it. The price of O-PAPS will only keep going up since they won't be commercially available for a while or ever. The same thing is happening with WASRs. People say they cost too much, but the price will only keep going up since Century stopped importing them. You think the price is bad now, wait for what it'll look like in five years. We see the same pattern with Mosin and SKS. I remember when a Mosin was $79, now you're lucky to find one for under $200. Remember when Maadi's were ~$550-$600? Now it'll cost you $900-$1000. Take a look at the price of pre-ban imports from 1989...

I would also try to get a slight price reduction to $750, which I think is closer to what market price is, but at the same time if you *really* want it, don't let the opportunity slip up. DDI and other American made AKs will run you about the same and be plentiful for a while. Welcome to 2016. Adapt or buy a different gun.

Run don't walk is my advice. That is like paying above sticker price for a car and then getting talked into the undercoating to boot.

seller will be asking for 1400 by december and everyone will laugh at him. make an offer of 700 now, to take the problem off his hands and avoid shame and ridicule of fellow calgunners.
