Would you buy a AR-15 Bolt Action upper before 1/1/2017 to create a compliant rifle?

There are many benefits to this type of compliance including the continued use of detachable magazines, flash hiders, pistol grips, adjustable stocks.

What would be nice is if you could somehow prevent putting a semi upper on the bolt action feature lower. Maybe a permanent front pin, or a tab on the lower and the groove on the upper
