SCAM ALERT: Be careful fellow Calgunners. Got an email today from Howard Donald Eugene (howarddonaldeugene@gmail.com) who said he saw my WTB listing here on Calguns, trying to sell me a SCAR 17S FDE. He sent images he copied off the internet including one of the SCAR 16, and he wanted to send someone else to meet me, Frank Edward Bradshaw (frankedwardbradshaw@gmail.com), not even the owner for the transfer which cannot be done on PP transfer through an FFL. He wanted half up front by cashiers check to meet me. Scammers. Also beware many of these SCAR 17S scams are happening on Armslist too, had a few emailed to me by Armslist to let me know they were scams and I ran into one myself there and reported it.

Seems like that same howard person sent me a similar email from the WTB section. Said he had a full set of barrels, only $125 a piece, and that he had "all of them" but he was in west virginia. Sent a stock google photo of the barrels and claimed it as his own, but tossed in free shipping.

Fortunately his wife owned a western union, and thats the only way he'd take payment. When I politely declined this offer, he said 50% payment to him before shipping he "could live with".

When asked about the distinct lack of forum presence, he simply ignored the questions. They're pretty easy to spot the scams nowadays.

I recieved one from the same email howarddonaldeugene@gmail.com saying "Hello,i am Howard Donald, i have the item you are looking for are you still in the Market ?". Then he proceeds to tell me which gun he had (one that I specifically said I'm not interested in in my post) so it ended there.
