    PS90 and AW registration

I was considering registering my ps90 as an AW, but I was wondering if that meant I could take off the stupid barrel extender that kommifornia had me put on "for the children." If I can't then I see no reason to not just go featureless.

Federal law still requires rifles to be at least 26" in length. It also requires a minimum of 16" barrel length. As long as you satisfy those two requirements you should be good

I was thinking the same thing for my PS90 but the front grip is considered an evil feature. I guess you could cover up the rear thumb hole AND cut off the "grip" to comply...

I still don't know what I will do. Good luck

The barrel extension is just there to meet the CA law on 26" overall length.. the barrel is 16"

So, yea, you can take if off if you add a stupid butt plate extension that messes up the egonomics.

I'm going featureless on mine.. so two plates to close off the thumbhole.. It has no other "evil features"

No, the very front part isn't considered a grip.. it's merely a handstop to keep your hand from sliding forward and hitting the barrel.. or on an SBR version from sliding forward and getting blown off.

To go featureless just buy the plates that block off the large "thumb holes"..

                At least that's my understanding

Post pics when you complete it. I'd love to see what it looks like & save my PS90 too

Yeah, the thumbhole is what I meant to say. They consider that a usable grip.

How to remove the factory flash hider.. there is uncertainty if the shroud (fake can) negates the flash hider on the barrel.. they could get picky.

What did i miss, the PS90 has a 16" barrel and is over 26" OAL, so if all the speculation is correct, if registered, you should be able to remove the aluminum pipe from the barrel.

                              It's a DIY thing.
