Hi,
I'm new here and am looking to buy my first rifle.
I already have my firearm safety certificate and all the information on my drivers license is correct.
Today I purchased a stripped lower receiver and I pick it up in ten days. But I have a small problem.
I don't own or rent a home, so I don't have a lease agreement, nor do I own a vehicle, so no DMV registration.
I called California DOJ and they said I can use a state issued fishing license that has an expiration date on it.
Is that correct? Because on their website it says you can't use a fishing license. The person at Cal DOJ I spoke to said that hasn't been updated and the info on the website is incorrect.
I'm going to call them again to clarify, but I was wondering if any of you had dealt with this type of issue before?
To sum up, what other documentation can I use? I already have my FSC and drivers license.
