This last round of laws has done it for me. I'm done. There was a time, not that long ago, when I owned one gun, and didn't give a damn about any of these stupid laws. This hobby has caused me more anger and feeling helpless than anything I can imagine. By the end of the year I will own own a Glock and a 12 gauge pump, and that's it. Screw it. I can protect myself and my family with those. I'm gonna use the money to buy some more guitars, or an old car to work on. I can't leave the state, but I can change my state of mind, and find happiness in something else. I'm going to start asking around among my friends this weekend to see who wants to buy what.

Own whatever guns you want it's your choice, I know people who own a couple handguns and shotguns a bolt gun or two. They are quite happy with that and don't want the hastle of complying with complex stupid laws that don't address criminality etc.

But if you have any AR's etc. might as well sell them here and get them to a happy home.

Hold off on getting the old car... There is a movement to restrict the older cars currently that are smog exempt.
