    What does the future hold...

Thinking out loud, in Cali -

No more carbine matches in about 10-20 years.

Retail price ammo for everyone, except reloaders.

Bolt and lever actions for every new rifle buyer.

Revolvers only for new guns on roster.

Shotguns will be the main semi auto weapons of choice for new buyers.

New weapons will be invented to comply with the law.

Outdoor shooting ranges will close due to bad business.

In California, it will look like Europe. No firearms in homes, no semi-auto anything, must have a sporting use and can only be used at hunting clubs or shooting clubs, etc.

My guess is we're about a decade away. I'd put confiscation of all private fireams that aren't in compliance at about the year 2022. Maybe sooner with A Hillary Supreme Court. Maybe never with a Trump court.

With a Hillary owned supreme court, there is no reason for the CA legislature even worry a little bit about banning all semi-autos next year. All those firearms you registered in response to these new laws can easily be declared no longer legal as of 1/1/18, Selling them out of state or turning them in will be the only legal options.
