Guns Direct in Burbank was swamped both Friday and Saturday. If you haven't been there it's a pretty small shop size-wise so 25 customers can pack the place full. Interesting mix of shoppers - some were purchasing 3 or 4 lowers at a time while others were first time buyers asking "Is it always this busy?". Phones ringing off the hook, guns flying off the shelves, ammo going by the case...it was Sandy Hook all over again.

When I left on Saturday there were still rifles on the wall and lowers in the case so I'm guessing they will be busy for a while.

Every person who walked into my LGS was asking for lowers and AR 15

I was in River City Gun Exchange on Friday. A couple in front of me bought something like 10 rifles between the two of them. A couple of DD, a pair of Tavors (really wish I had sprung for one of those) and others I didn't hear. I heard the final count of the purchase and it was the 10 complete rifles and 20 stripped lowers....

I was impressed since there was a LINE of other customers before and after this guy.

According to the guys who put forth the 1-30 bill the only people purchasing >10+ long guns/receivers at a time are gun traffickers.. no legitimate person has any need to do that....

Broke window shoppers have caused me a lot of waiting over the years. RG and Turners should dedicate an employee and a line just to cater to Walter Mitty types that don't intend on buying anything but just want to socialize.
                  This^^^^^^

I see this ALL the time at gunshows. I'm thinking 90% of people going to gun shows are clueless about what they are looking for. They FF guns then don't buy anything. Or they ask a bunch of retarded questions or want to talk the sellers ear off about some stupid event that nobody cares about. Or just socialize because they have no friends to talk, due to their awful body odor, stinky breath and non stop farting.

The day the bills got sign. The ammo case was empty. Even the SG Ammo was gone. Day later it was full agin in the morning and when I stopped by later in the day most of the ammo was gone. They had bricks of 22lr and people pass them up for 223/556 and 9mm.

I'm thinking of consigning a couple of AR's in the local shops, think they would sell?

I'd be willing to bet money some of the more mall ninja oriented stores will be closing. Especially smaller ones or the ones that aren't more diversified in what they offer.

Stopped by a gun store in the Nor Cal foothills Saturday. They were getting more calls than normal and more customers coming in since Thursday.
