WTF can the NRA do if we keep electing petty commisards to the government here?
The only way it will change is if more than 23% of the population are forced to showup and vote.
I support peace through superior firepower.

The NRA doesn't have voting rights. Until ALL firearm owners vote AND stop voting for the same douche canoes that pass these laws (like the ones supporting Hillary and Bernie RIGHT ON THIS FORUM that also regularly vote for state level gun grabbers), the politicians passing these laws will continue passing these laws. It's not the NRA's job to "do something". It's up to the voters to "do something".

BTW, are you an NRA member? I don't see that listed in your sig. Not being a jerk, just curious. If you are, listing it might help raise awareness.

If more people joined the NRA that would make a difference. All the NRA members I associate with respect our country and obey the law. If that 5 million members mark increased to 50 or even 100 million that would make a difference. Maybe these bills signed today will get some of those sitting it out on the sidelines to wake up to what is happening. Think it's bad now wait until Newsom is governor and Hillary is president.

Where are the BILLBOARDS like the one the LBGT/Bernie Sanders/Welfare State folk paint the town with?

Where are the NRA supported firearms education in schools?

Where are the RADIO ADS offering FREE NRA sponsored shooting classes to people who would like to learn? They have radio ads asking for junk car donations to raise funds, how about ads that ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING?

How about the NRA realize that the "sportsmen" who they think are thier customer base are a much smaller percentage and start paying attention to the guys with MSR's?

Where is the NRA shooting team? Even the Air Force has a shooting team, and those poor slobs PAY THEIR OWN WAY.

Look folks, its time to wake up and smell the burned coffee. The AR15 is the largest selling sporting arm in the country. It is used by hunters, plinkers, competitive shooters, and even for home defense. WHY is the NRA not shoving those facts down everyones throat? INCLUDING the "sportsmen who could give a crap less about semi auto "military" guns as long as you dont come for thier precious bolt guns and Purdy doubles.
The NRA needs to be promoting solidarity, and instead it chooses to largely keep its mouth shut so as to not offend its own members. Because they want your checks to keep rolling in.

With all of the millions the NRA is receiving you have to wonder WTF is going on around here.

The whole thing makes me ill.

Who voted for it? Anyone you know?

Or did the politicians just slip it in because the gun folk in CA feel they are powerless to stop it?

The NRA is not to blame for the anti-gun environment and legislation in the State of California. A quick check on the internet and you will find that the NRA has anywhere between 4.5 and 5 million members, and these members are spread out across all 50 states. Now compare those number to the population of the State of California which is around 38.8 million. The NRA, is not omnipotent. It does not have unlimited resources. I think the NRA has done a good job of keeping the Second Amendment alive throughout the country. Yes, California is a loss, but look at how we won WWII; in the Pacific we started at Guadalcanal, and continuously moved north and concluded the war in Tokyo Bay.

We (firearms owners) have made a volitional choice to live in California, which is increasingly becoming more anti-gun. The U.S. Constitution is not being used to protect us. The anti-gun, anti-freedom and anti-liberty influences in this country are wreaking havoc throughout this country. Our judges from local to appellate to the U.S. Supreme Court are against us. The California legislature is against us. The U.S Congress and Senate are neutralized. The U.S. executive branch is hostile towards us. Our entire political system is corrupt, and abusive towards the citizens and only serves those who manage it.

I compare our situation to what the patriots were suffering in the 1770's. Our cause is not lost. We just have a long rode to travel to win.

Yes, I know some people who vote for these stupid laws and vote for the people in office that make these laws. I also know more people who don't even vote or care about any laws in CA and says thinks like"It don't matter."

How many Calgunners are there and yet there's little action and talk about these laws?

How is the NRA going to help us when we bicker and can't agree ourselves on what to do?

I think it all comes down to the saying

                            reply

Well the NRA's lobbying arm, NRA-ILA, says they are going to take legal action. Do I think it will be successful? No.

But theoretically, it could be found unconstitutional and they could get it overturned. They'll take it to the District court, then 9th Circuit, then to the State Supreme Court.

The problem is, judges are appointed and most of them are liberal in California. So they will make a biased political decision instead of a constitutional one.

They could appeal that to the US Supreme Court, but there's no chance of winning there, now that Scalia is gone.
