    Shot Timer App

I'm thinking about trying IDPA shooting and checked the Play Store to see how many free shot timer apps are available. I was surprised at how many there are and don't which one to try. Does anyone have any recommendations?

(I tried doing a search and didn't see any threads on this topic.)

Try the "IPSC Shot Timer (Beta)"

    Free download.
Works decent if your the ONLY shooter.
    Has a calibration setting, helpful.
Give it a try, might be what your looking for.

And hey, if you find a better one, report back please!
    Regards,
    Mike

I have several of them on my phone.

      Dry Fire Timer
      Dry Practice Drill
      IPSC Shot Timer (beta)
      PPC timer
      Shot Recorder
      and Shot Timer

I normally use Dry Fire Timer or Dry Fire Drill, because I am doing dry fire drills and not live fire drills. For live fire drills I coughed up the $100 bucks to get an actual shot timer. Its not that the apps dont work, its just if I am shooting and moving or even practicing draw drills on the range I dont like the odds of my phone hitting the ground. Shot timer makes way more sense and is very easy to use.

        Thanks for the suggestions.

The dry fire versions would probably get the most use, and encourage me to do more dry fire practice.
