'Tried to buy some target grade 5.56 from Cheaper Than Dirt a week or so ago and was told they no longer sell ammo to California. I sent an email asking WTF, it's still legal and this is what they wrote back to me. For what it's worth:

As an organization, we may determine what cities and states / jurisdictions are too high of a legal risk to ship some of our items. Due to the high legalistic nature of your firearms laws, we (as a business) either cannot or choose not to sell certain products to protect ourselves from the potential risk of legal action by that jurisdiction. Your state is one of those jurisdictions.

Didn't bother me a bit. I think it was out of bounds of civilized discourse.

I will continue to do biz with CTD, like a million others. They didn't get to be one of the big boys by screwing everybody over. As is with most cases I've seen with vendors or gunstores, their complaints were usually brought on by themselves.

Doing business with cheaper than dirt is like doing business with the cleaners that launders money for the heroin dealer that killed your kid.....but they get my shirts really clean.
