    Negative feedback for marketplace transaction

I'm really struggling with what is the right thing to do here. My son is piecing together his first AR on a pretty tight budge, and as such, he's been scanning the marketplace quite a bit for pieces he wanted. He found a seller with a Daniel Defense lower parts kits for $100, which is what they cost online, but no one has them in stock. I contacted the seller, agreed on the cost and it arrived a few days later. The ad said the kit was new in package. But, we found the package had been opened and resealed with clear tape. Also, a couple of the parts listed on the packaging had been crossed out with a Sharpie marker.

We took a careful inventory and compared it to the parts and pictures on the Daniel Defense website and found that parts had been substituted in the kit. The Magpul trigger guard had been replaced with a stock painted unit and the complete trigger group had been replaced with another brand. It had a speed hammer in the package, not the DD one.

I contacted the seller and he told me that he had purchased 20 of these kits from another Calgunner and he would check into it. I asked that it be made correct by a complete kit, or sending the correct parts. If he was unable to, we would like our money back, as it was not what my son wanted, nor what was advertised.

It's been almost 4 weeks now, and all communication has dropped off. I've sent over a dozen private messages now to no avail. I know the Calgunner hasn't left the board, as his ad has been bumped during this time by himself. So, the big question, do I leave negative feedback? I'm guessing there is nothing further that can be done besides this.

If you were sold items that did not match the description of the items, he should make it right.

If he doesn't, leave negative feedback.

Negative feedback and identifying him helps the rest of us out.

If he is "on vacation" or "personal emergency" he will make it right or at least give his side of the story and go from there.

        Good luck.

        Seller?????

Now THAT is a negative feedback.

I would always give seller a chance to make it right. Sounds like you did. 4 weeks is enough time.

I'd hit that with a neg as described.

Eta: PM me your mailing add and I'll shoot you a black magpul trig guard for your son. If you like.

And describe or pics on the wrong parts of the trigger, maybe I can help there too but not sure.

If you can get your money back, just buy a BCM lower parts kit. They are the same price and come with a better trigger and a BCM grip.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Negative feedback for sure, everyone here should know what they can expect when dealing with him.

Negative feedback. 4 weeks is plenty of time to make things right. Sorry OP, most marketplace transactions go smooth.

Yes, his actions are deserving of negative feedback. It protects other innocent buyers from walking into a bad deal.

Great advice. He had opportunity and plenty of time to react. You don't need to feel bad about it.

If that's not grounds for negative feedback, I don't know what would qualify.

You are a lot more tolerant than I would be.

If he has been online bumping his Ad then I would have posted the issue in a reply to his Ad. I would have reported his Ad to the Moderator with an explanation, I would have posted a negative feedback and I would have posted the issue in another post just like you did but I would have outed him in it.
