    Question about PPT

Sometime back I sold a pistol and it turns out buyer was delayed (he told me last week in a message)and then denied(as I was told by the LGS today)

In the potential buyers message (last week)he said " his buddy would just buy the gun"

I am feeling a little hesitant to do this deal with the "buddy"

I am not sure if the LGS would even do it?

Anyway is selling to the other guy a No-No?

    Straw purchases are illegal.

If you feel like it is heading down that road, don't second guess your gut feeling.

Could be ok, could be a straw purchase.

I would refund his money (less any expenses/fees) and get the pistol back to be sold to another buyer...

Agreed, and out of a over abundance of caution, I'd hold on to it for a few weeks before I put up for sale again. Even though you as the seller would have no way to know what a buyer intends to do after he take possession. If it doesn't feel right passing on the sale is the best course of action, to protect our sport/hobby.

Don't sell it, give the guy his money back and relist the firearm at a later date. Warn the LGS of the guy too, they like to know about those people so they can keep an eye out for them.
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Sounds like the best plan to me too.
