    OffRosterGuns.com?

I just ran across this site and was wondering if any of you have heard about these folks. Basically, they are setting up gun stores on Indian reservations and are supposed to be able to bypass the safe handgun roster therefore allowing CA citizens to legally purchase new off roster handguns.

No worries, use Google for the easiest searches...

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

Same, all I see is a thread about Katie Couric.

The offrostergun people have refused to share their plan or why their method is legal. IIRC, the last contact from them was they would release that information on June 15. I checked back yesterday and the only thing that changed was their plan went from buying on Indian reservation land so the 10 day waiting period and 1 in 30 would not apply to now we are looking to partner with various local FFLs that will do the transfers so the 10 day waiting period will apply but the 1 in 30 will not. We do not know when the guns will be delivered.

To get on the waiting list, email them the list of the gun(s) you want. They will contact you and those that donated during the period they were taking donations are first in line. If, by whatever magic formula they are using, decide to take your order, they will contact you and you are to put 50% down. Then, when they are able to finish all of their negotiations with the CA DOJ and ATF to get permission to do this, they will ship your gun to your local FFL. I assume you will need to send the rest of the payment before shipping because this is supposed to be a ppt.

All they have done is asked people to send money in exchange for a promise that at some unspecified date in the future they should be able to get you all the off-roster guns you want. At first it was send a couple of bucks for the promise. Now it is 50% of the cost but they will not advertise the cost, they will email you with the cost.

If they wanted to test the market, put up 100 G43s for sale at $600 or even $650 each. They would sell out in hours Throw in some Ruger MKIIIs at $50 over MSRP. That would get everybody's attention and get them started. If they wanted a list of popular off-roster guns, come here and start a poll or just look in the marketplace. Better yet, look at what are the best sellers in free America and look at what they are selling for in the marketplace here.

Trust them. After all, who does not trust Joe Isuzu.

Really, if their concept works, it will be a huge money maker for the Indian tribes backing them and a few others will very likely get in on the action. In a couple of years we will all be able to get whatever handgun we want.

I hope it works but I will remain skeptical until they either publicly reveal their plan or actually put it into action and start delivering guns. When I was first getting back into shooting I fell for the promises of Ares Armory. I learned my lesson the hard way on that. Never again will I order and pay in exchange for a promise.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?
