    Bringing an AR to Cali

Quick question - if an out of state resident has a free state AR and moves to CA, do they have to install the bullet button or are they exempt as the AR was purchased legally in another state and then came in when they moved here?

Must have bullet button before it enters the state

Check the ban by name list, if on the list, you cannot bring into the State, also you have 30 days to self register

No mags over 10 rounds, currently 10/30 mags blocked are OK

I will add the wiki for you to peruse

It's at the top of the page as well

There are several pending legislative changes, after Dec 31st, you may not be able to bring your AR or AR mags over 10 round capacity

Malthusianism is the idea that population growth is potentially exponential while the growth of the food supply is arithmetical at best.

The DD MK18 is overall length <30 inches but people bring it in and sell it. how's that if the length is <30?

You had better get here soon. New bullet-button rifles (AR would be one) are about to be banned.

Or, don't come here at all. CA is well on the road to making gun ownership a no-go, thanks to all the Dem voting retard gun owners. Mags over 10 rounds are about to be banned, if they don't get all semi-auto rifles this year, they'll get them soon.

It states on the DD web page the MK18 is a regulated NFA firearm SBR (short barreled rifle)

That is a federal regulated firearm, federal tax stamp etc

CA does not allow those except with a special dangerous weapons permit

Usually limited to FFL's that provide to the Hollywood movies and probably various LEO agencies

            Not sure of your source

That's interesting because mk18 shows up every now and then on the private party page. I wonder how that happens. Hmmm

Asking for a friend who is moving here from Washington. I'm already stuck here.

For rifles that we already own with a bb, do we need to register these now?

Not now, except that all guns moved here by new residents must be registered. http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/ag.../ab991frm.pdf?

Ask again in September when the Governor may or may not sign one or more bills that might require an additional registration.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
