Don't you hate when this happens?

I had a bunch of ladder tests for my AR and was going to test some subs for my 300BLK... mainly plinking loads but wanted to chrono them and check them proper. First test shot I barely skin the chrono, then it stops working. Dang it! I proceed to see if I can revive the chrono, nope nothing is working even though nothing sensitive appears to be hit. I waited too long to get out to test these loads, so I proceed just checking group sizes and pressure signs. The AR testing went well. The 300BLK didn't eject ANY rounds so it wouldn't matter if I had the chrono (203g coated lead start 8.1 and max 8.9 lil gun). All goes well and I leave.

I get home and attempt to turn on the chrono one more time... it works.

    &^$&^%(*&^(&^*^%&^%&!!

    I know, cool story bro.

Are you going to work up any super sonic loads? I'm just getting into the 300 fad and looking for a cheap plinker/varmit load and a pig load.

I would not know, I have never shot the chrono although my buddy did. Funny thing was, it was his chrono.

I have only previously worked up one supersonic load. Using either pulled 147g M80 ball and Hornady 150g FMJBT, both using same load (16.6 Lil Gun) get average of 1983FPS out of a 16" barrel. I didn't get bolt lock at starting load of 15g Lil' Gun, but from 15.4g - 16.6g I got excellent function without pressure signs. Can't speak on accuracy of said loads because at the time I only had iron sights.

I kinda knew in advanced Lil' Gun isn't the best choice for subs, but figured what the heck. I tried them in a 16" carbine length barrel. Before I pull the bullets I am going to try them in my 8.5" pistol barrel. If they work in the pistol I may load em up anyways.
