Picked up some wolf's, not a bad price, the case was magnetic only. I also picked up a bag of mixed 7.62x39 for 5 bucks, they look ok but ya never know. At Costa Mesa I will be getting more if the price is right. Looking for a good deal on brass case too, that way I can shoot them at San Gabrial for the time being. Traffic is going to be lousy Wednesday for Angeles . AHHHHHH

They had AE223, 500 for $99. Pretty much beats the pants off anything I can find online.

I also stopped at the Ammo Bro's booth and they talked me into trying some of their nice and shiny reloads. I bought $100 @ 18.95 and it shot flawlessly, minus one bad primer. Not bad, but when AE is just $1 more per hundred I have a hard time going with it.

small but not too bad and I like it is a LA county gunshow. I'll be back to support it if nothing else. I did manage to buy three guns too. I think this was extreme luck though.

It was surprising to see a gun show in Glendale (never knew they existed here). Not too much stuff, but there was some dirt cheap ammo and naturally I stacked up

Who was selling the AE for that price? I need to pick some up at the Costa Mesa show. Does anyone know if parking is free there? I know admission covers Sat. and Sun. but how about parking?

There is FREE parking there, but it is a little walk. The 5 buck parking is closer especially if you stock up on ammo.

this was my third time at the Glendale show, and I always leave with a pocket full of money (meaning I couldn't find much to spend it on...)

I agree with the earlier post that the American Eagle 9mm was a heckuva deal, but I only purchased a couple of hundred rounds, not a couple of thousand!

But the BIG diappointment was that the bookseller that was at the previous Glendale show, (down in the basement) was NOT there this time.

And that brings up my big rant: there is a pile of money waiting for some decent dealers at this show in the following categories:

                1. books - there was one tiny stall at the top of the stairs where a guy had some great old books, but no one was selling the hundreds of current titles currently available. who was that cool (strange) dealer at the previous show who wore a lab coat and had several books that I've never found online?

                2. DVDs - NOBODY was selling instructional DVDs of any type

                3. "tactical" nylon (mag pouches, etc.) - a couple of booths were selling the cheap stuff (most items priced $5.99...), but where was the good stuff like Eagle, Paraclete, HSGI, or even Blackhawk???

Unfortunately, I don't have any sales skills. But for someone who knows how to actually make money selling things, those are just three categories that were completely ignored by sellers at this show. I know that I was prepared to drop at least a couple of hundred at the "mad professor's book shop" but he was a no-show. Somebody should try to prevent all of that money going home with frustrated non-customers. Any takers for next time?

Both Ammo Bro's and the other ammo dealer had AE223 for $99 / 500 + tax. They said they would have more for the same price in Costa Mesa.

FWIW, I went straight from fun show to Angeles range and fired off 200 rounds of ammo bros reloads. There were 2 with bad primers, all others were clean and accurate. Should be a good fall back for when I don't have access to cheap retail ammo.
