What that stuff does to brake dust is absolutely amazing...I am tempted to try it out in deep cleaning stages before finishing a firearm up with Ballistol. I don't suppose any has any experience trying this out, but would love to hear any thoughts.

I use it occasionally on my wheels, but never considered it for firearms.

Yeah, it's a great wheel cleaner...

But your gun isn't getting covered in brake dust. The regular road grease and oil isn't really what sonax is so great at dealing with. Honestly I'd be seriously concerned with how it interacts with finishes and even some materials since it's not made for that at all.
