Red dot sight as a backup sight on my snow white

Since I don't ever use iron sights I decided to have a red dot backup sights to my sight. Some of you might think I'm a mall ninja, and to you I say I'm a weekend range warrior.

Besides being silly, wouldn't that cause optical aberrations?

To be honest, I think it is a little stupid.

You got an expensive EOTech and you went ahead and block it with a cheap Burris FastFire. What's going to happen, is that you'll drop the rifle, break the Burris and now it is blocking the EOTech.

If you really must use 2 optics, why don't you use a scope mount that has pic rail on top so you can mount both a scope and a red dot like the Burris Fastfire on top?

Sorry OP, that's kinda stupid. Grab some flip ups or do a piggy back. Maybe even canted irons (even though I have a feeling they'd snap off after 20 minutes in the field)...

That rifle won't be white after you take it to the range... it'll be the filthy nasty snow wh***...

Besides if it just going to the range you only need one. If it acts up just shoot another rifle or replace it with a spare sight.
