    Is Comcast anti-2A?

Every time I check my email automatic spam dump folder, I find a large
number of legit firearms related emails. Each time this happens, I mark
the addresses as "Not Spam". The next time I look, sure enough, the
addresses in question are, once again, banished to my "Spam" folder.

I understand that many ISP's identify bulk email deliveries as suspected
spam, but the user specific spam rules should take priority over their auto-filter.
I have marked the various NRA domains as "Not Spam" more times than
I can count, yet they are filtered about 50% of the time. NRA marketing
ads often come through, but the NRA-ILA updates are almost always
diverted to spam purgatory. Political bias? Delay reception of time-critical
    updates?

I would be less suspicious, if the behavior was consistent with bulk
email from other domains, but that is not the case. Comcast's automatic
spam filter always passes bulk emails from Amazon, Ebay, Costco etc.
It is only the 2A themed bulk emails that seem to "ignore" this individual
    user's spam definitions.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Try adding the email addresses to SAFE list.

Why would you ever use them? Anti 2a or not. They are expensive and the customer service is like calling Satan.

First off, sorry to hear you have Comcast. Always keep a bottle of lube handy...

I have no idea if the issue is Comcast or not. I have another provider and don't seem to have the same problem. Every now and then an email gets junked for no reason. But it seems to be random, no common subject matter.

            Thanks for the suggestion!

The Safe list requires the user to enter a rule for every address/domain,
from which they wish to receive email. That would cause problems,
in my situation, and is more work, than just checking the Spam folder
regularly. The easiest work-around is to disable Comcast's global
spam filter. It would only take a few seconds to change.

            But!

            That really isn't the point

Comcast, either intentionally or unintentionally, is lumping the NRA and other
2A content in the same boat as pornography, male enhancement, illegal
pharmacies and malware. They are smart enough to make sure big
vendor bulk ads get through, but somehow drop the ball on an organization
that represents almost 2% of the population. In addition, they ignore
my spam filter rules, that should allow the content to be bypass the
filter. Is it an extortion business model? Pay up, or we won't let your
content through? Who knows? But if other users are suffering the same
problem, then it is bad for our cause, and censorship.

How many pro-2A Comcast customers are not aware that their Spam folders
contain relevant content? How many use cell phones, who's default apps do not
normally download the Spam folder? How many have auto-delete enabled, so they
can't tell if they are missing content?

Cut the cable and stream content, Roku box with NRA channel, One America News Network, Amazon video, Netflix, 30 bucks for OTA HD antenna for local channels
The big companies box out/won't carry smaller legit channels so they can filter their propaganda.

Long ago, it was a great deal. Fast, good service, decent price.
                Not so much these days.

It would be nice if Full30 put out a Roku app. Believe it or not, Comcast
actually blocks some streaming content, if it conflicts with their set-top
business. Yep, probably time to switch.

Do you have evidence to support any of this? They're blocking your traffic, trashing your emails... man I wish they'd stop persecuting you.
Yeah, Comcast blocks Starz on Roku even though I pay for the content through my cable package. You want evidence, you can't stand the evidence!

However, my gun related emails are not being thrown into the spam folder, nor are they being blocked. But Comcast definitely does do some manipulation.

Hmm, quick search shows that's more of a licensing agreement problem (read: extortion) and it affects several "unapproved" devices.

Go to the FCC page and file a complaint, go make waves, affect change and all. https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us

Edit: don't forget to call Starz and complain to them too when you're cancelling your service. They're just as guilty.

That is their more recent tactic. For years Comcast blocked HBOGO, from
all of their internet customers, even if they were paying for the service
with their cable subscription. It is only in the last year, that they started
allowing "select" devices to receive/authenticate HBOGO content. They
do not want customers bypassing their cable service, and directly accessing
content providers, via their internet portal. Blocking appears to be a
negotiation tactic, to force content providers into giving them a piece of the
                            action.
