Every time I check my email automatic spam dump folder, I find a large
number of legit firearms related emails. Each time this happens, I mark
the addresses as "Not Spam". The next time I look, sure enough, the
addresses in question are, once again, banished to my "Spam" folder.
I understand that many ISP's identify bulk email deliveries as suspected
spam, but the user specific spam rules should take priority over their auto-filter.
I have marked the various NRA domains as "Not Spam" more times than
I can count, yet they are filtered about 50% of the time. NRA marketing
ads often come through, but the NRA-ILA updates are almost always
diverted to spam purgatory. Political bias? Delay reception of time-critical
updates?
I would be less suspicious, if the behavior was consistent with bulk
email from other domains, but that is not the case. Comcast's automatic
spam filter always passes bulk emails from Amazon, Ebay, Costco etc.
It is only the 2A themed bulk emails that seem to "ignore" this individual
user's spam definitions.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
