Newbies to the range

I was able to get 2 coworkers to the range yesterday. A quickie if you will. It was lunch time. 1 of the guys just picked up his new to him SDVE 9 from lockup and wanted to fire it. The next guy shoots at the desert but only long gun. Both shot about 75 rounds through my M&P 9 and 45. Both came away with big smiles and a new appreciation for their boss. The long gun guy is now going to buy his first pistol and the SDVE guy is going to basic handgun training class. Also they are planning on voting finally as both never have.

I'm always glad to take newbies to the range - happy to introduce people to firearms. Normally I get a response like: "It isn't as evil as the media portrays"
Better yet - I took one of my sons friends out (who in his mid-20's) and never shot a gun, his response was: "best day (so far) in my life!"

Great. My cousin finally took me last month and I finally made the move to purchase first firearm from that. Im still a noob but also picked up sd9ve as first handgun. got say im express with other that long trigger pull. So far 200 rnds with no problems. If friend interested in buying additional mags for the sd9ve, i found a site cheaper than s&w and other main online retailers.

Good for you OP I recently took a young couple out to the range and they loved it. Neither had ever shot a gun before and now they are going to purchase their own pistols. Once I explained to them the ridiculous CA laws they said they are going to follow gun laws closely and vote for pro gun candidates.
