I just got back from the 145th NRA Annual Meeting in Louisville. For those who complain about their inability to get into the SHOT Show, I can assure you the NRAAM is just as good. Not quite as big, but pretty big for all that (eleven acres this year), and everyone you want to see is there. More tchotchkes (swag), too, since it's a consumer show instead of a trade show.
All you need is an NRA membership.
Apparently, NRAAM is making the SHOT Show people nervous, and the latter are canvassing exhibitors to see if they want to allow consumers into the show. As an exhibitor, I'd prefer to keep SHOT Show for trade since NRAAM is such a good consumer show. But some exhibitors are unhappy they have to do two shows. Cost of doing business, I reckon.
