Based on information I read here on Cal guns, I decided to check out Smoking Barrel’s new store in Simi Valley. My first impression, very positive; substantially larger than their old location. Very clean, neat, well stocked (they even had a substantial supply of CCI. 22LR mini mags in stock). Had a brief conversation with a staff member. They are currently in the planning/building stages of a good size in-door range. Maximum 25 yard line, and will be rated to handle “up to 50 Cal BMG”.
Looks like a great addition to our community.
The staff was polite, courteous and greeted everyone as they entered. Now I know I may be showing a bias, but I like dealing with clean-cut, well-groomed knowledgeable sales staff when I am spending my money. No disappointment there, I suspect I have found a new shop where I will be spending some time and money.
