As a newbie ,I am amazed at the amount of information and cooperation among the 18,000 + CG members . I posted about ammo that I thought may be mismarked and in less than 5 replies CalGuns members had more info posted {and more accurate} than the Mosin-Nagant site.They even managed to find a pic of the casing base with the correct markings.
Tonite it took 9 posts to answer a question by another member about the broomhandle Mauser stock legality.A letter was provided from BATF circa 1981 on the matter. A question asked weeks ago about "chick 12 Ga ammo"
allowed me to buy a case of 12 ga. 'airsoft' for my wifes shotgun class at
P2K. Legal questions about the Ca. hoops we have to jump thru have been answered clearly and concisely. This has contributed to my having ,and spreading, "Black Rifle Disease".
Occasionally there is a disagreement on points ,but it is handled in a respectful manner.
This certainly is a fine group of people.

So MANY guns.......................so little crime.

Calguns is a great sight. I have been to other sights and I think a lot of them suck!!! People here think that people duplicate threads to much, let me tell you it aint nothing compared to other forums. Sometimes I think Calguns is the only good thing about California besides the scenery and weather.

Mr. Impactco had a very 'lively' discussion going on GB/ CG this week with a bunch of people who thought we were whipped because we wouldn't storm Sacramento ,guns blazing, and demand our 2A rights.
The letters by Mr.Impacto and Mr. BroncoBob were top quality in the face of such stupidity.

It's as good as the scenery and much better than the weather (though today and yesterday have been beautiful).

The only thing I'll miss about California is hanging out with Calgunners. But I'll still be around.

It is filled largley with good people who share a common bond.

I have the pleasure of meeting several during PPT and there isn't one that had we met any other way I can't say wouldn't have still wound up being my friend, we all got along that good.

In fact, while I was doing a PPT last week we bumped into a couple of other Calgunners also doing a PPT and we all chatted for a while like we were old friends.

Kind of neat the way we all meet and are friends straight away.

Others we would meet would normally just be an aquanitance that must first prove worthy of your friendship. A Calgunner is your friend until he proves otherwise.
