Dp-12 question vertical grip sturdy?

Hi I posted this question in shotgun but no one answered. Maybe someone actually knows about the dp-12 shotgun. I see it had a vertical fore grip. Is it built well ? Any chance it will break off while pumping and blast a hand off?

Felt sturdy enough to me, but I guess the real test is how it does over time with many rounds down range.
