    .45 question

Awhile back a friend of mine gave me this .45 auto bullet. The bullet is colored red and the shell casing is marked "w-w .45 auto" and is silver in color. Can someone tell me what this type of round is used for?

Im pretty sure its just a regular 45, just fairly old. I have seen some black talons marked with ww but yours aren't hollow points ?

Copper, under the right conditions, will turn "red". I'd love to duplicate it for a copper link bracelet I have but have so far been unable to.

            Red penny.

Look up Rokusho and hiirodo. That's how Japanese people get a red patina on copper. This is the way to do it for delicate things like jewelry.

Hillbillies heat it and quench in salt water.

My Critical Defense rounds get the same color after a few months of riding in my pocket.
