Toolcraft / Cryptic Coating BCG?

Hello fellow Calgunners,

Curious if anyone has had experience with the Toolcraft cryptic coating BCG. I'm interested in the Mystic Black model for a .300 BLK and based off of a TTAG review and one review on weapons evolution they seem great but looking for more data points.

Would be very interested to hear from anyone who has run one of these BCG's on an AR in either 5.56 or .300 BLK.

I picked up a blem .308 in Mystic Black a couple of months ago and so far so good. Great company to deal with, very responsive to questions and every time I called, Karen answered the phone. Their coatings are as advertised and cleaning requires nothing more than wiping down with a rag. The CVD coating also cycles so much smoother than phosphate or nitride. They look sweet too!

Awesome thank you for the info! I am looking at the blem option as well -- glad to hear specifically about the smoothness of the product. From what I've heard, this is a big benefit aside from the ease of cleaning and obviously awesome looks. I intend to couple it with a JP silent capture spring for maximum noise reduction.

I went with the JP SCS too. Shooting that gun is ALMOST better than sex. Save some money and go with the blem, they are still warrantied for life and on mine the only imperfection I could find was a pin sized flaw in the coating on the carrier. I'll be picking up another for one of the 4 AR's I'm building now.
