308 lowers anywhere?

whats up again calguns,

I have decided to start to piece together a 308. This is going to be a side project with side money so I hope to have everything together by Christmas.

I don't have a set budget in mind as I will just be buying in parts as the funds become available, but hoping to spend around 1000. im just wanting a fun 400 yard range toy nothing serious

I would love to start from an 80% lower so I can choose my own everything basically, but that might be a little overwhelming for me. So I thought maybe I would settle for a completed lower and just swap out some pieces here and there, but now I cant find any completed lowers in stock. I have checked aero, saltworks and psa, but it seems like everything is out of stock

does anyone know of companies with these in stock ?? thanks in advance

No problem. Also 1000 isnt really the ideal budget for a .308, from what I've seen in the forum of others peoples builds ive seen the cost go 1500+ and thats without an optic.

Riflegear in Fountain Valley has .308 stripped lowers in stock for $300. I just picked up 2 last week.

Yeah that's an optimistic number, but since im not in a rush to build im going to wait for all the sales and hopefully come close.

And I wasn't including the price of optics but plan on spending another couple hundred bucks there

Estrella Ordinance in Goodyear, AZ has stripped PSA AR-10 lowers for $190 plus $24 shipping. Depending on what your LGS charges to receive and DROS, not a bad price.

He doesn't have on line ordering, so you would have to do it by phone. Small shop, but if he shows it on his web site, it's generally in stock.

Do you homework! The 308 AR platform isn't like the AR15 platform. There is no mil spec for AR 308 so compatibility between manufactures can be an issue. I would suggest that you buy a lower and upper from the same company. Again, Aero Precision makes top notch uppers and lowers and are reasonably priced.
