My son took a lady friend to the range yesterday to introduce her to calibers larger than a .22.
While there, a couple of benches over there was a black couple with a "deer rifle". Shooting what is apparently this is their first gun.
As my son was getting ready to leave, he handed them his Polytech M14S and let them shoot it. When the husband shot it, he was all smiles. So, they handed it to his wife, who was very hesitant to shoot. An M14 style rifle can be somewhat intimidating. It was, BANG. Ooooo, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG!.
When my son left they were all grins.
I told me son he should have let them shoot the Garand. He said he would have if he had taken it.

Price is also important to some, they look down on people with "Cheap Polymer guns" cause they got CZ's with trigger jobs

I would let folks shoot my custom CZ's if they asked. You must have encountered a snob that happened to own CZ.

^^^ Ha! He ain't lyin'.

Whether I'm at an indoor range or BLM land, I've had Asian neighbors pretty frequently, followed by Caucasians, then followed by Hispanics and Blacks.

In fact, the last time I went to my usual BLM spot I pulled up alongside a group of Blacks and they followed all rules of safety and carried all their trash out. Since they were there before me, they may have even hauled out other peoples trash as well.

I always observe the actions of groups when I pull up to a spot, their color or ethnicity never plays a role in who I decide to shoot next to.

That might be true in California, but not the case in VA. There are even black people shooting at the range in VA, don't ya know?
