Long Shot- The Gun that Aims itself

Just watched a really interesting show on Vice just now. In short, a company has designed a rifle and scope that allows a person who has never even shot a gun before hit targets up to 1000 yards away. It's made by Tracking Point Solutions out of Austin, TX.

I'm torn on how I feel about this but as someone who is just now studying long range shooting I feel it's not worth it. I'd prefer to go the old fashion way.

This again? It's been around for years, I recall the company filing for bankruptcy at one point, at another they had a deal with Remington to sell $20,000 rifles and of course that flopped, then there was the exploit found last year that allowed someone via wifi to input garbage data screwing up the calculations, etc.

It's old news, hasn't amounted to anything, and likely never will from that company. Welcome to 2012.
