    Best budget LPK?

Im building an 80% lower this month and looking to pickup a cheap but decent LPK. I like a nice trigger in particular.

PSA seems well recieved, this one in particular looks nice...

I did see this here in the for sale area (with free shipping it would come close to the PSA above...

Does anyone have any experience with either? Or perhaps can recommend a nice budget kit?

It doesnt matter ... cheap is cheap and just plan on possibly replacing a part (hammer pin or disconnector) in a few hundred rounds.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, can anyone comment on which might have the best trigger pull of the ones suggested?

I know the gun will figure into this as well, but are there any generalities that can be drawn?

This guy just put in the PSA kit and it lowered his pull by a pound or so....

I don't think there is much difference between the PSA and CMMG kit in the trigger IMO.

First cheap...now looking for "best trigger pull"...no disconnect in that logic.

Also the last AR build I did, I used a CMMG lpk. The Anderson lower and the take down pins did not like each other very much. Had a heck of a time getting them to move free and easy.

Standard "milspec" LPK are all the same and where you'll find a difference is usually with the trigger IMO. Some are very mushy, inconsistent pull, and lots of creep while some have a more predictable break point that is consistent every time.

I have had no issues using Spikes or PSA lower parts kits on my last few builds, both have great trigger pull for around $50.

                      Cheers,

I typically go with CMMG or with the DSG LPK Minus Trigger.

The Anderson one worked pretty well for me.

It's been a couple years but I built a Mega lower. The parts kit I used had a really good trigger. It really surprised me at the time becuase it was smoother and lighter the the M&P Sport trigger. Core15. I still have it in my rifle. I couldn't tell you if it is the same but I wish I had bought one or two more at the time.
