To my knowledge, they don't have an active rust inhibitor in the fabric, but they are cloth so won't trap moisture. I used them for some of my collector firearms because they protect the guns from getting dinged or scratched by other guns in the safe.

The Packaging suggests that they are silicone and oil treated to prevent rust?

I use the silicone impregnated gun socks, mostly to prevent dings when handling guns in the safe.

Even if they're silicon impregnated, your firearms probably should also be coated with some type of rust inhibitor.

I use those gun socks and they work great, and you always put a coat of oil on your weapons before you store them.

concur with fjold and m1match, on both counts. They're nice accessories and well worth their low price. And the Sack-ups are nice too.

I keep a few in them, they work really well IMO.

They are great when the safe gets over stuffed with toys. I use them on the seldom used guns that are stashed in the back part of the safe. Helps prevent scratches & dings.

I use them both to protect from dings in the safe and to avoid rust during long-term storage. They provide good protection while saving space for more goodies.

You can usually find the 6 pack online for $25-ish.
