New AZ Gun Laws

All that freedom and still no anarchy or blood in the streets. Good example of how stupid Ca. gun laws are.Comment

YepThe politicians of this state are in complete alignment with all of you. It is much easier to drive you from your state than to deal with you possessing evil instruments of mass murder. While I don't blame anyone for fleeing this state, I plan on doing so myself, they have won. They're going to tax and impose with so many arcane rules and regulations that anyone who is serious about freedom and personal responsibility has no choice but to leave this state.

that turncoat Doug'e the Duce vetoed a bill that would have saved us from a bloomberg ballot initiative, so while the NRA-ILA thought him a champion he could have vetoed those three and signed the state compact and it would have been a better day for the gun owners of AZ.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Yeah, I'm not happy about that. While I generally agree with (most of) his veto message, the bill did no harm so I saw no reason to veto it.that turncoat Doug'e the Duce vetoed a bill that would have saved us from a bloomberg ballot initiative, so while the NRA-ILA thought him a champion he could have vetoed those three and signed the state compact and it would have been a better day for the gun owners of AZ.
There were a couple of issues with the compact bill however. First, we would have to find another state to enter into the compact with us. While that wouldn't be difficult, it would take time and likely wouldn't be completed before Bloomberg can act.
Secondly, the compact would have to be approved by congress. This most certainly wouldn't be done in time to stave off the Bloomie's.
So I'm not sure it's fair to say that the bill would have saved us, but as I said it wouldn't have hurt us, so why not sign it."Did I say "republic?" By God, yes, I said "republic!" Long live the glorious republic of the United States of America. Damn democracy. It is a fraudulent term used, often by ignorant persons but no less often by intellectual fakers, to describe an infamous mixture of socialism, miscegenation, graft, confiscation of property and denial of personal rights to individuals whose virtuous principles make them offensive." - Westbrook PeglerComment

I was not aware it needed to be approved by congress, that is news to me. while that may have been a big issue, but based on one of the AZCDL guys who was on a podcast that night they (without directly saying it) had another state in mind that was ready to go as soon as the bill was signed.Yeah, I'm not happy about that. But while it may not have saved us, the vetto only hurt us. Ducey will never get another vote from me.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Yes, state compacts have to go before congress for consent.I was not aware it needed to be approved by congress, that is news to me. while that may have been a big issue, but based on one of the AZCDL guys who was on a podcast that night they (without directly saying it) had another state in mind that was ready to go as soon as the bill was signed.

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."Did I say "republic?"
