Finally dropped the cash on an ACOG

I loved using these in the Marine Corps but could never bring myself to drop the cash on one. In my shortsighted-ness I probably spent just as much money as an ACOG on several different budget optics that I ended up either selling or giving to friends. Well, Uncle Sam saw fit to take care of a back pay issue last week so I decided to finally pick one up. Settled on the Green TA31 with the Primary Arms ACSS reticle and also picked up a killflash. Purchased on Amazon on monday, arrived this morning. This thing doesnt disappoint. If Ive learned anything from this purchase, its to just go for what you really want at the beginning instead of wasting money on things you dont.

Oh and now no one can talk trash about me having a budget optic on a 3k rifle

      Nicely done!

Yes, get what you truly want from the get-go. Problem sometimes is you don't know what you want just yet until you've tried many things.

      Congrats!

Nice score. I followed much of the same path on optics over the years, and just like you concluded to just save for what you really want.

Cheers, the ACOG was definitely my favorite optic when I was in.

The only problem I have with the ACOG is that after buying 1, now I want to put more on all the rest of my AR's.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Loved mine when I had it. Alas it was lost in another tragic boating accident.
I really need to learn how to drive a boat.... And buy some insurance also.

Congrats OP, nothing like finishing a rifle off the way you always wanted. I had the pleasure of getting a prototype ta01 type in the Marines back in 94-95 to try out in Somolia as a DM. They had me write a review on it afterward. I loved it and always wanted one after getting out but had a hard time paying the cost, luckily I found a ta33 last year on Calguns for 650$. I couldn't pass it up.

Congratulations on being able to finally get what you wanted.
I have a TA31EC0S on my LWRC and love it. I also got a Killflash from Amazon for it.
