I was looking at an Anderson stripped lower for $39.95, and it's saying that lowers can't be shipped here. Does it mean the lower can't be shipped directly to the buyer but can be shipped to an FFL or neither?

No, neither. AIM doesn't ship a lot of CA legal things to CA - period. Can't blame them really...

My LGS sells them for $45+tax. It will be very hard to beat a local gun store price on Anderson lowers, by the time you pay shipping and a dealer transfer fee. Even with a $40 starting price, you will be looking at $75-$90+ if you ship one in, unless your brother in law is a FFL. You have to pay shipping, tax, and a dealer transfer fee on top of the $40.

The best way to buy a lower is when you are doing a PPT or a dealer buy for something else. Then you don't pay extra $25 DROS for a $45 lower.

It's at least a wash. 39 dollar and shipping lower plus 75 ffl fees. Go buy something available local. You'll get a better deal.

Empowered firearms in vista has them for 50 plus tax/dros. Bought a few month ago, owner and employees are good people.

I buy Anderson lowers from Empowered firearms in Vista for $49. Bring your upper and they will find a match too.
