    Monterey City

Ok so for you people that lived in that area... Why does your Local Walmart doesn't carried ammo or any gun accessory beside air gun and those CP-Scope. I went to the Aquarium today and drop by Wal-Mart on rd 410 just be4 I hit the city and see what you guys have and their is nothing but what I mention above. I'm guessing your Wal-Mart don't support the 2A? Just saying but their always reason behind it umm.

It most likely has nothing to to with the store and everything to do with the city. The Walmart in the SFV is the same way. It isn't the store's decision.

I also would be interested to hear from someone who knows. I went into a chain drugstore in Jackson a few years back. I was surprised to find .22 and fishing gear there. Never seen that in the Bay area.

The Salinas Walmart has usually a pretty good selection of ammo and fishing gear the last time I looked. I can remember when they sold rifles and shotguns. Still have a nice Savage stainless heavy barreled 22-250 i bought way back before they got in trouble and had their FFL pulled.

The city of Marina where that Walmart is does not allow the sales of firearms or ammo.

Walmart does not sell ammo at many of their locations. Those locations are cities or townships with sucky and/or pain in the *** laws or ordinances. Not wally's fault.

Yeah I'm sitting here thinking, there isn't a Wal-Mart in Monterey, that's more supposedly higher class with Whole Foods and stuff like that, the Wal-Mart is in Marina and they haven't had ammo for as long as I could remember, so I usually go visit Del Valle which isn't too far away from the Wally World.

Also both of the Wal-Marts in Salinas, which isn't too far from Monterey, usually have a pretty good selection of ammo, in fact I picked up 200 rounds of 9mm, 100 rounds of .45 Auto, and 100 rounds of .357 Mag just today.

Isn't del Val technically in seaside/unincorporated Monterey county?

I don't understand why any of the Wallyworld's here in San Jose don't sell ammo. If it's a city ordinance, why then can you go to a LGS or a Big 5 or Bass Pro and buy guns and ammo.

                          Hippy/liberal towns don't like guns.

It's just called Monterey, by the way... The "City" part is a given.

Maybe because it's next to Sand City.
