Hopefully you can find something already designed for your application, but lacking that If you want to spend some time and maybe some trial and error, you should be able to come up with an appropriate spring.
axcesspring.com has a spring calculator that you can obtain the specs of your present spring from if you ascertain wire diameter, spring diameter, free length, and number of coils.
This will allow you to come up with what you now have as far as poundage at free length and at 25% compression.
You can then cross reference for a stiffer spring that will fit using the "stock inventory" section on centuryspring.com.
You'll probably end up wanting to try several in the predicted range, but they're not all that expensive even one at a time from Century.
Probably more trouble than you wanted to invest, but thought I'd chime in with it.

This is a Wolff spring kit. It has a ton of coil springs in various sizes, incrementing by strength and wire diameter in small amounts.

If you get me some specs on your spring, I will send you some of these for free. Measure the length at rest, and the coil outside diameter. Also the diameter of the wire itself, and the number of coils per inch. And let me know as best you can guess what the min I.D. and max O.D. used in this application could be.

If I have anything close, I will send you a varying selection that are near what you have now and you can experiment. You will just need to cut them to length.

Thank you very much Skyhawk. I will get measurements to you via PM. I'll be curious to see if you have something close.
