    Are there better Bullet Buttons?

I see bullet buttons selling from @$5.95 to $19.95. Is thete a significant difference if you just want to buy a legal in Calif Bullet Button? Which would you get?

There is only one real Bullet Button, they usually sell around 19.99. There are many Bullet Button copy cats. There quality and prices range from bad to good. I'm not aware of any extensive comparison of all the copy cat brands.

I dislike Midway, but the real Prince50 bullet button is actually $10.95 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/987...h-ar-15-lr-308

The best bullet button is a regular mag release on a featureless rifle.

This, however, cosmetically it's not pretty. But i like that it uses the OEM mag release spring.

Thanks, you beat me to it. There are many different magazine locks but the two original mag locks which allow for drooping mags with a tool (unlike the original P-50) are the "Bullet Button" and the "Rad lock". Both are great products developed by long time calgunners. Those are the only two AR mag locks I would recommend.

I've been really happy with my Rad-Lock, it is very nice to have when visiting out of state, just a few turns of the screwdriver and you go from fully functional to Cal-compliant.

I started using these by rifle tailor after a fellow Calgunner turned me on to them.

They have a wider opening and a funnel shape. Any tool you put in goes right to the center without any trouble. They are easy to operate and I like them.

A "Bullet Button Convertible" does the same thing and just as fast. I'm not knocking Radlocks. I'm just pointing out that Assault Planet makes more than one type of bullet button for AR 15s.
