None made that I know of. Springfield quit making the P9 in 1993. I don't think they started making the crossed cannon grips for the 1911 until at least 2005.
Here's kind of a cool article about them: http://www.springfieldforum.com/The-...Z75-Clone.htmlLast edited by tpf68; 04-30-2016, 3:58 PM.

Imported, not made.
Unless it is from their custom shop, all the handguns that are sold by Springfield Armory are made in other countries and imported into the USA.
1911 = Brazil (IMBEL)
XD/XDM = Croatia (HS Produkt)
P9 = Italy (Tanfoglio)
Uzi Pistol = Israel (IMI)sigpic

So, NM serial number prefix on non-custom shop 1911s...are still made in America, right?"Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy."

No, not correct.
To be clear, Quiet was talking about old days and up to recently about the 1911s. All other than 1911 guns were and are imported.
As for 1911s, up to a few years ago, the "N" serialized 1911s were made by Imbel in Brazil and the "NM" were made in US. From what I have heard, they are all made in the US, as we speak.
No more current production of Springfield1911s in Brazil and the current production is all marked "NM".Comment

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Sort of; 'NM" guns were finished/assembled in the US, but the frames were still Brazillian forged, whether marked N, no N, or NM the frames all started as made in Brazil. Springfield has confirmed that on many occasion.

.This comes straight from Deb/Vicky at Springfield... if > 50% of the work is done on one of their pistols in Brazil, then somewhere on that pistol it will be marked "Brazil". Should > 50% be done in Geneseo, IL, then it does not require a "Brazil" marking.
That is where the "MADE IN BRAZIL" rollmarks come from... placed above the serial number. That is one variety of markings that will show up on Springfield's G.I., Mil-Spec and Loaded pistols.
Another is the "Geneseo IL USA" found just above the serial number. There's essentially two common variants of this... for example, in the Mil-Spec line, if it has a N serial number prefix, you will find "IMBEL BRAZIL" or "FI BRAZIL" laser etched in two places. The locations are the bottom side of the dustcover and underneath the right grip panel on the frame. If you find a NM serial number prefix, those markings are usually always absent and the "GENESEO IL USA" rollmark still appears above the serial number on the frame.
Understand this part- ALL Springfield Armory 1911A1 pistols start their life in the forge presses of IMBEL in Brazil. There the frames, slides and barrels are forged... regardless of what markings are later applied or where the majority of the work is done.------------------------Comment
