Smart guns

I keep thinking about how the fingerprint ID on my smart phone only works if my finger is clean and dry, and even then is about 80% effective. I hope the cops successfully push back. Needless to say the technology isn't ready and I hope law enforcement gives sufficient pushback to Obama.

If this is forced on law enforcement, it would certainly result in deaths on the streets, which if anything, would backfire (pardon the pun) on pushing this on the rest of us.

Well if you think about it, your average gun whether it is a handgun or a long gun, doesn't even have a high school diploma or a GED. I think that a gun should have at least a Bachelor's degree before it is deemed a "smart gun"

I really hope, for the sake of law enforcement, that they aren't required to use these. If they do, I'm sure there will be plenty more cops being shot for lack of being able to shoot back.

They're not even smart guns, they're dumb guns. The gun is controlled and tethered to a wristband? It's like a master and slave relationship...just how the progressive's like it. No slave gun for me.

Now the Tracking Point Precision Guided Rifle? Now THAT's a smart gun.

If anyone wants to advance the concept, it has to start with Police and Federal Government Agencies. They are vocally against the idea...that pretty much tells you what you need to know.

It's ALMOST like they want to force us all to buy guns carved from a block of wood, since those are safer, and later phase out the real ones. So it's not like they're taking all our guns away, it's that they're taking the unsafe ones away. Of course it you carve a hole down the wooden barrel and install a cork it's a felony.

The biggest premise of the smart gun proponents is that kids will not be able to fire them and if they get stolen then they will be useless.

Most common method is via some sort of a wireless technology. I can't think of a gun owner that would store his firearm and his activator in two separate places. I can just see it a burglar comes in first you go to one safe and get the gun, and then go to the other end of the house to get the activator. Not going to happen.

So, burglars will end up stealing both at the same time, ditto for the kids playing with the firearm.

The fantasy is worthless!!!
