So, I recently acquired a navy colt model 1851 revolver. Doesn't fire but its been appraised at 1050. Much as I like the gun, I'm young and just starting to acquire them. Not much of a collector, as I prefer to shoot my guns rather than look at them. I want to trade it for a classic battle rifle of foreign design I really like Enfields and mausers. Or an m1a or m14. I need advice on whether or not that's a reasonable trade\move with the gun. Its real Purdy n' all, but again I'm not in the storage business. I have a 1903 that I reload for but its scoped. A classic iron sighted battle rifle would make me truly happy. New on cal guns and if you're interested in the trade let me know.
