With all the guns going off roster, do you think there will be a day where off roster does not mean anything and gun prices become normal? If you can only get guns off roster via private party you would think via supply and demand that prices will drop because gun stores will only be used as FFL transfers.

No, because 1.) Revolvers will still all be on roster, they don't require microstamping, and 2.) There will be no new (or very few new) semiauto pistols being brought in. Demand will always be greater than supply, driving up costs. -
Not all the guns are going off rosters, they are all just set to renew on the same day to make it easier for everyone. If you have 20 guns on the roster with 20 different expiration dates it's going to be a pain renew them all.
If handguns ever become PPT only then yes the price would shoot up. People think zero guns on the roster means de facto ban and the roster gets thrown out immediately but that's wrong. Nothing is going to happen without a ruling from the court and that could take years.
