    Best LGS Prices?

I live on the Central Coast of California near San Luis Obispo.

We have a few LGS, but all seem over priced... (well seemingly compared to internet prices, etc).

I guess I'm willing to drive a couple hours to save a few hundred bucks, what LGS do people think have actually decent prices? Are there any that are better known than others? Turners, Dicks, private shops, etc?

Looking for decent prices on long guns...

If a good list has already been posted in another thread, just send me that link and I can read through it!

    Thanks!

You are better off buying online and having it shipped to an ffl that won't gouge you on the transfer fee. I feel 50 $ is fair some do it for less most do it for double. We live in a state that pays a premium for arms that should cost 30% less.

We try and be as competitive as we can even with online retailers. However bringing long guns into CA can be expensive as even dealers cannot bring them in non CA compliant and then convert them. They need to enter the state CA compliant.

Get a relationship with a local FFL and work with them.

Bridge Sportsmen Center in Paso Robles on Spring Street. Great owners, reasonable prices, good selection, good service.

100 miles is nothing, for the right price...I go to Santa Barbara quite a bit, so I will look into these guys...

Heard these guys are actually fairly high on prices, but I guess I could at least call to get some pricing. I heard its a real nice shop.

Most guys I called it was going to be $100 bucks to have a long gun shipped and transferred through them. I'll keep looking, got a lead from a guy through PM.

Gun buying is like car shopping, you have to haggle. My local store is online pricing + $75. Good deal on higher priced items, crappy on anything cheaper. Haggled them down $100 on purchase not to long ago.

great attitude and sometimes an attitude that is required to get what you want.
don't forget the MARKETPLACE here on Calguns for potential purchases. i drove to san diego and back (twice) from the san gabriel valley for a PPT purchase from another Calgunner of a hard to find lnib S&W Model 640 no dash. i would have driven a third time around if that's what it would have taken.

Get r gun in Santa Maria has had the best prices I've seen. Their inventory isn't that great in store but you can order through their website and it usually gets there in 2 days. My last two gun purchases have been through them.

Gillio's is a estate jewelry store that always has had a pawn shop vibe to it. I was quite surprised when I walked in there 2 weeks ago and saw guns. They have a small selection and the ones they did have seemed to have pretty good prices, cheaper than other LGS's in the area but their in store selection is small. But it is of the more desirable and quality guns.

Luckily its 2 doors down from Norton's pastrami and after lunch, i can shop for a handgun while the wife shops for some jewelry, takes care of both things at once, keeps her happy, keeps me happy (but BROKE).

Other than a kitchen table FFL, I think the least expensive shops to receive a firearm in SLO County would be the shop out in Los Osos (60 bucks) or Harbor Guns (50 bucks if Dave if in a good mood and it's not coming from Bud's.)

Most of the other shops are $100.00/gun.

Bridge's up in Paso is high.

Some are forever stuck at the maturity level most commonly found in bad middle school students.
Likely because they were ostracized or picked-on themselves in response to their own behavior.
Wouldn't it be great if the real world also had an Ignore List?

I just bought an AR-15 at a local gun store. I paid the exact amount of money it was costing on some of the web sites in Texas for the 49 stage version.

There's a Turners in Oxnard. Their sale prices are hard to beat.
If you're ok with going to Anaheim, AmmoParadise saved me almost $100 on a Henry rifle last month, compared to anyone local. Riflegear in Fountain Valley and AmmoBrothers in Ceritos also have some good prices. Probably too far to travel unless you were coming this way anyway.
The ***** is that you have to make 2 trips.
