    Who remembers these...

Pre bullet button, and pre 10/20 and 10/30 mags.

Maybe not that brand but the GI mags and no button. Also no M4 just old style jam-o-matic M16 without forward assist and other band-aide fixes.
And now so many Johnny-come-lately people think it is such a great system
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

So, a Torx wrench was used to remove the mag? And what does the button on the mag do?

An allen/torx wrench was used to install it, not to remove the mag....

If you weren't building AR's in 2006 ish, you may not know what they were.

            Who wants to remember that.
I choose to remember buying AR's second hand at gun shows..with no paper.

Yep, I remember buying 30 round mags...The 10 round Ca. ban in 2000. Remember the toploading AR's that took 10 rounds?
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Yep, Bushmaster 10 rounders. Purchased before mag kits were available. Used in my new oll's from 2006. Also the original Mag-Lock sold by calguns member semiautosam. Made it able to top load your ar back in the day.

The days when the Recycler classifieds had a bunch of HK-91's, 94's, and a bunch of other good stuff all for legal cash & carry.
i remember one week driving over to North Hollywood to buy a used car, and on the way back to the shop buying two rifles to toss in the trunk. Would often buy cars with no pinks, and of course firearms with no papers either.
Bought my second WW2 1911 at a yard sale, and a pre-64 Model 70 one block over twenty minutes later. All this in the San Fernando Valley.
Those were the days. Now I'm feeling old!

I remember mid 1990's gun shows at Pomona Fair Grounds with 7 buildings full of gun stuff. As good as that was, there were no AR's as Clinton and Feinstein had banned them in 1994.

I remember the 80's when all the adults in my family cash & carried all their private sales.
                              Assault weapons ban?
                              Hi-caps law?
                              Handgun roster?
                              Basic gun test/ card?
                              None of that shiat existed!
