    I didn't know Glock made 22s?

Good thing this SF deputy is the "only one professional enough" to handle a Glock. LoL

glad no one got hurt.....the SF Chronicle would have reported it as "illegal defective Glock goes on shooting rampage in SF courthouse".

You might be surprise to know that it's not unheard of to see someone trying to load a Glock 22 mag with .22lr.

        KNTV-TV reports ( http://bit.ly/1RWnlyv )

Officials say one deputy brought the 22-caliber handgun to work at the Hall of Justice and asked a colleague how to operate the weapon. That deputy didn't know the weapon was loaded and pulled the trigger.

Not to laugh... but the rules... they should go through your head before you pick up a firearm....
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
        (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

I'm glad these kinds of people have access to those unsafe off roster guns.

are these trained deputyies or trained monkeys.
what a couple idiots, they should both lose their jobs immediately, after a full investigation while they get paid of course.

How do you not know how to operate a Glock and why would you ask these questions at a courthouse and not a range?

Lol just a 22lr glock and 1 bullet. Glock figured they would know what to do with it.

What does that tell you about the quality of people they hire in San Francisco.

I think it has more to do with proper training. Maybe Iggy is now a firearms instructor for SFPD?

Can they be plaintiffs in the next lawsuit?

the local morning news actually used the term
                          "22 caliber baby glock"

It was a Sheriff Deputy, not the PD.

Right, lets be specific here, SFPD only has chiefs that have issue with qualifying.
